Specifies the reason for pending status.
10 codes in use. External code sets are published outside the message schemas and updated every quarter, so a new code can appear without a new message version.

- ADEAServicer Deadline MissedReceived after the servicer's deadline. Processed on best effort basis
- DISANatural DisasterExceptional closing of all financial institutions due to natural disaster, for example, earthquake
- ESCAEscalationSpecial follow-up is taking place
- IAADStatus Reason InvestigationPending reason being investigated
- LPROLonger ProcessingLonger processing timeframe for this type of SSI
- MINFMissing InformationInformation, for example, currency is missing
- NEWINew IssuesFinancial instrument is a new issue and not yet available/tradable
- NEXTNext ProcessNext process is launched. No processing pending problems to be reported
- NSTPNot Straight Through ProcessingInstruction was not straight through processing and had to be processed manually
- PRSYSystem On HoldTransaction was put on hold/frozen by the system
