What it means in practice
In a pacs.004 payment return, a return reason code explains why funds that were already settled are being sent back. It sits in TxInf/RtrRsnInf/Rsn/Cd, and bank statements (camt.053, camt.054) repeat it in RtrInf/Rsn/Cd.
The creditor's address is missing or not usable where the payment needs it, for example a cross-border payment where regulation or market practice requires the beneficiary's town and country.
What to do
- Add at least the town name and country of the creditor, using the structured address elements (
TwnNm,Ctry) where your counterparties expect them.
