Specifies the external trade market code in the format of character string with a maximum length of 4 characters.
6 codes in use. External code sets are published outside the message schemas and updated every quarter, so a new code can appear without a new message version.

- FDMSFactoring DomesticFactoring service provider, Factoring client and third party in the same country
- FEXPFactoring ExportFactoring service provider, Factoring client in the same country, third party in another country
- FFDMFactoring Foreign DomesticFactoring client and third party in the same country, Factoring service provider in another country
- FFDTFactoring French Dom TomFactoring service provider, Factoring client and third party in the same country, but factoring client has an exceptional VAT ruling, for example if it’s overseas
- FIMPFactoring ImportFactoring service provider and third party in the same country, Factoring client in another country
- FREXFactoring Reexported ExportFactoring service provider, Factoring client and third party in three different countries
