Specifies the external type of party code in the format of a character string with a maximum length of 4 characters.
13 codes in use. External code sets are published outside the message schemas and updated every quarter, so a new code can appear without a new message version.
Codes
- ADVPAdvising PartyParty advising the undertaking.
- ANYBAny BankAny bank.
- APPLApplicantParty named in the undertaking as the “applicant”.
- BENEBeneficiaryParty in whose favour the undertaking (or counter-undertaking) is issued.
- CONFConfirmation PartyParty that adds its undertaking to honour the undertaking.
- CUB2Second Counter Undertaking BeneficiaryBeneficiary of the second counter-undertaking.
- CUB3Third Counter Undertaking BeneficiaryBeneficiary of the third counter-undertaking.
- ISSUIssuerParty that issues the undertaking (or counter-undertaking).
- OBLGObligorParty obligated to reimburse the issuer.
- ORDROrdering PartyParty requested to issue an undertaking on behalf of the applicant. Also known as the ordering institution or applicant's bank.
- PRESPresenting PartyParty nominated to receive presentation.
- SADVSecond Advising PartySecond advising party.
- SPECSpecified AddressParty located at specified address.
