What DTRA means
Unlike the disagreement codes, :24B::NMAT//DTRA is not about one field. It reports the result of a conversation: the counterparty (or its agent) does not recognise the transaction at all, often called a DK (don’t know).
Matching will not happen unless the counterparty finds the trade or the trade details are corrected on your side.
When you see it
- After a chaser on a long-running unmatched instruction, typically with wrong counterparty details or a trade that was never confirmed.
What to do next
- Check the trade with the front office: correct counterparty, account and settlement chain.
- Send the counterparty the trade confirmation details. If the trade is wrong on your side, cancel and re-instruct.
