Written and maintained by ZagTrader. Last reviewed . How this page is sourced and checked
Retired in the 2017 standards release: no longer sent on the Swift network.
The MT303 was sent by a fund manager, or its representative, to the executing broker or bank to allocate a block foreign exchange trade or a block currency option to individual funds. What MT303 is used for
Swift removed the MT303 with Standards Release 2017. Messages of this type can no longer be sent on the network; any old MT303 found in an archive can still be read, but a current system will not produce one. Each allocation is confirmed with an MT300 (or MT305 or MT306 for options) between the parties.
Removed from the Swift standards with Standards Release 2017 (November 2017), together with the MT307.
