ExternalCancellationReason1Code: Cancellation Reason Codes
Written and maintained by ZagTrader. Last reviewed . How this page is sourced and checked
Specifies the cancellation reason, as published in an external cancellation reason code set.
In a camt.056 cancellation request (or camt.055 from a customer), a cancellation reason code explains why the sender asks for a payment to be stopped or its funds returned. It sits in Undrlyg/TxInf/CxlRsnInf/Rsn/Cd.
33 codes in use. External code sets are published outside the message schemas and updated every quarter, so a new code can appear without a new message version.
