MT569 Triparty Collateral and Exposure Statement
Written and maintained by ZagTrader. Last reviewed . How this page is sourced and checked
The MT569 is sent by a triparty agent to the collateral giver and the collateral taker, or to an account servicer acting for them, to give the valuation of both the collateral and the exposure. It can show settled positions only, or the position including instructions still pending.
What MT569 is used for
It is the statement that closes the triparty loop started by the MT527 instruction and followed by MT558 status messages. Collateral receivers use it to check that each exposure is fully covered after haircuts and to feed their own books. Triparty agents send it on a schedule (for example end of day) and it can also be requested with an MT549. The bilateral counterpart is the MT506.
